paperwork !

Blisters and paperwork are assembled into a single unit at the Pharmacy

Palm Push … the peg is located on the free leg in section 5 below, the groove in the tool slides down the leg, clicking the ring together by downward pressure.

Click Rings … located in the base units as described in sections 1 and 2 below and the peg pushed through the hole. The rings are tamperproof,  single use and snapped off to release.

Base Unit … these are re-usable and available as standard for MTS, NPA & Venalink blisters. Also as customised for larger blisters and A4 paperwork.

Assembly Jig … this is an essential tool which is used to anchor the click rings ( sections 3 & 6 below ) during closure to prevent the tamperproof device snapping when the peg is pushed home.

Why Change ?7 Day MDS
28 Day MDS
(mixed medication)(mixed medication)

Re-useable Cassettes, the champions of mixed medication, are being largely replaced by Blister Packs for Hygiene and Health and Safety reasons. Blisters packs are still only employed in 7 day packs except in Care Homes where they are found with a huge waste of blisters containing a SINGLE medication in each pack. Conversion to 28 day Mixed Medication using the Omedos Click Rings uses on average around 2 blisters per patient per month, representing a significant contribution to our ‘green’ society.

As an added bonus in the Community, Medication Administration Records (MARs) can be included within the sealed Omedos pack, under license from our Patent, to address urgent Compliance issues and attract NHS funding options.
