The Basics Explained

The Base plates are available in 2 standard sizes, one to fit Venalink blisters and the other for MTS blisters, the latter being available in NPA livery. Click Rings are in one size and used on both bases.
The Click Rings are pushed into the slot at the rear of the base plate and then rotated until the peg locates with the hole in the base (ringed in white on the picture). The peg is then pushed through and the procedure repeated for the second Click Ring as illustrated.

The blisters will already have been packed and paperwork printed before assembly. I order to prevent the pegs on the rings snapping off during assembly the bases of the Click Rings must be firmly anchored in the assembly jig as illustrated, before attempting to assemble the unit.

The filled blisters are then loaded onto the free legs of the rings and folded over in Dose Time sequence as shown and the paperwork loaded onto the protruding pegs as illustrated, the 2 free legs are then carefully located on the pegs ready for closure.

The groove in the Palm Push is then carefully slid down the leg to be closed and with firm downward pressure from the palm. the peg is pushed into the leg until a click is heard.

The blisters are then folded over the paperwork and the closures on the Rings checked to confirm that the tamperproof device is secure.
FINALLY each blister. Contents list and record card is checked to confirm that all items have a Batch Label attached to ensure that a complete audit can be taken at any time if required. The Batch Label need be very simple but must contain Patient Name, Pharmacy, start date and a reference unique to that pack.
