Standard Operating Procedure

The visual below describes the sequence to be adopted in the Pharmacy during dispensing and could be equally used in either manual or automated procedures. Screen [1] relates to the preparation of paperwork, computer entry, production of labels, contents lists, MAR charts (this doubles as contents list if used under license) and Batch labels (used on ALL cards and blisters to link the unit to comply with statutory labelling requirements). Screen [2] deals with filling the blisters whilst screens 3 to 9 detail the assembly of the unit.
