What’s in it for Me
(Carehomes)

It is highly likely that the Care Home uses the industry norm of single medication blisters housed in mountains of metal hoops. At some time in the past these may have been switched from cassettes for Health and Safety reasons. There is no doubt that blisters are the better option but cassettes had the advantage of MIXED medication from the Carer’s viewpoint.
The Omedos Organiser uses existing blister packs from major suppliers such as Venalink and MTS which are widely used in Care Homes with single medication. They may appear in a number of different pharmacy group liveries. The difference is that separate blister packs are used for each DOSE TIME with MIXED MEDICATION. They are then locked together with paperwork at the pharmacy, onto a base plate forming a single patient unit.
